3-hours Mini Medics

Service Description

The Mini Medics course is a very basic introduction to First Aid and Defibrillation aimed at children between the ages of 8 and 11, but it can suit children of any age. The course is kept at a basic level with no use of confusing terminologies. SYLLABUS A range of subjects can be covered including: What is First Aid? Defibrillation First Aid kits Recovery position Choking Resuscitation (CPR) DR ABC Wounds and bleeding Asthma Shock Safety Communication and contacting the emergency services ASSESSMENT This is a non-regulated course and attendance is all that is required. Optional test/quizzes are available in the form of a worksheet which are included in each student pack. Mini Medics First Aid characters - choking procedure CERTIFICATION A certificate of attendance is included in the back of each Mini Medics book as a ‘cut-out’ for the child. This same certificate can also be found on the Mini Medics Trainer USB as an editable PDF. THE COURSE WILL SHOW COMPLETE RESPECT FOR THE CHILD’S ABILITY, MAKE IT EDUCATIONAL AND PRACTICAL, AND INSTIL THE IMPORTANCE OF HELPING SOMEONE WHO IS POORLY OR INJURED.
