Half-Day Catastrophic Bleeding Control

Service Description

This course provides learners with guidance on catastrophic bleeding control, including dealing with the inherent dangers associated with the use of tourniquets and haemostatic dressings whilst administering First Aid in a high-risk working environment. All learners must hold an in date Level 3 Emergency First Aid or Level 3 First Aid at Work qualification. Syllabus A range of subjects are covered including: Equipment Primary survey Catastrophic bleeding Haemostatic dressings Tourniquets Top-to-toe survey Environmental issues Handover to the emergency services Certification Although there is no formal assessment, the trainer will assess each individual ongoing throughout the course and issue a certificate of attendance. There is no expiry date on the certificate as it is attendance only, however, we recommend that you attend this course every 3 years to refresh your skills. Numbers A maximum of 16 delegates can attend this course. Location We are able to deliver this course on your site, subject to a pre-course assessment of your premises, reducing your costs in respect of additional time out and travelling.
